RULES AND REGULATIONS
A. Daily
Sign Up:
1. Begins at 6:30 a.m. everyday Monday – Sunday (April –
November).
2. Last hour of play vary by month, ranging from 2-3PM
to 7-8PM, depending on the time of year.
3. Daily sign up must be done in person.
4. Players can sign up for one hour of singles (2
players) or two hours of doubles (4 players) by having a tennis permit or
purchasing a Single Play Ticket.
5. Single Play Tickets are $7 per person per hour. They
are sold in the Central Park
Tennis Center
(and all boro offices).
6. All players do not have to be present to sign up for
a court but all players must be present and checked in at least 15 minutes
before their scheduled hour of play.
7. Players signing up to play doubles need two players
present to sign up for consecutive hours. Partners must be present and checked
in at least 15 minutes before their scheduled hours of play.
8. Players who are late checking in will lose their
court.
9. Courts that are not signed up for will be given to
the next available players on the No Show List.
10. Lockers can be rented for $20(twenty) at the Arsenal
for the Central park
tennis Center.
* Please note- If you purchase a locker
on the main level and wish to obtain a second one, it must be in the basement Co-Ed
area of the locker room.
B. No Show List:
1. If there are no courts available, eligible players
only, may sign up on the No Show List.
2. The No Show List is called 10 minutes to the hour for
courts that have opened up due to signed players not checked in on time.
3. If the player is not present when his or her name is
called, that player will be removed from the list.
C. Repeat
List:
1. Players who have played for one hour and would like
to play again may join the Repeat List.
2. The Repeat List will only be called after all the
players on the No Show List have been assigned court time.
D.
Advance Reservations:
1. Advanced Reservations can be made by permit holders
only.
2. Permit holders must purchase a reservation ticket to
make an advanced reservation.
3. Reservation Tickets are $7 and are sold in the Central Park Tennis Center
(and all boro offices)
4. Courts may be reserved from 2 - 30 days in advance
and each player can hold up to 5 active reservations.
5. If you have five dates reserved you must wait until
one is used before you make another reservation.
6. Advanced reservations can be made in person (2 per
day).
7. Both players must be checked at least 15 minutes
before their hour of play.
8. Cancellations must be done 24 hours in advance in
person.
9. Players are allowed to make one cancellation per
ticket (NO EXCEPTIONS).
10. Courts used for advance reservation are as follows:
8 Courts (#19 - #26) Monday – Friday 7a.m. to 10 a.m.
13 Courts (#14 - #26)
Monday – Friday 11a.m. to Closing
8 Courts (#19 - #26)
All day Saturdays,
Sundays and Holidays
11. Number of Advanced Reservation courts may be limited
in case of special events.
E. Advanced
Reservations by Phone:

Friday 10 a.m.– 2 p.m. at (212) 280-0205 press 2 (Except Holidays).
2.
Must have permit
and reservation ticket at hand.
3.
Limited to one
phone reservation per day.
4.
Cancellations by
phone must be rescheduled immediately.
5.
Rain check
tickets must be stamped before being accepted by phone. (Rain check will be
issued if courts are closed due to bad weather conditions and are valid for the current tennis season only).

THE COURTS
Tennis shoes are required.
No more than three balls permitted on
the court.
No more than four people permitted on
the court.
Food and drinks not permitted on
the courts (Water is O.K.)
Please wait for the hourly bell before
entering your court.
Please keep your shirt on, figuratively and literally.
Only
players with smooth sole tennis shoes will be permitted on the courts.
Attendant in charge makes final decision in court assignment or any
disputes.
Violation of any rules or regulations will result in cancellation of the
permit.
*The season runs from the first
Saturday in April until the third Sunday before Thanksgiving (Weather
Permitting).*
*NOTE: FOR
ANYBODY WHO IS INTERESTED IN PURCHASING A PERMIT LATE IN THE SEASON, THE SAME
FEES AND EXPIRATION DATE APPLY.*
ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE PERMITS
MARKED BEFORE PLAYING.
